“Imagine a handbag that warns you if you are about to forget your umbrella or wallet… ”
I should be their test subject. I am the Queen of Forgetting Her Wallet.
This is great:
“A sensor module in the bag’s handle detects when the bag has been picked up, indicating that the owner might be leaving. This triggers the reader to check through the objects the computer module has been programmed to look for. If it does not detect a required item, it uses a voice synthesiser module in another patch to warn: “Cellphone, yes! Wallet, yes! Keys, no ”
I just hope the built-in computer has a programmable level of sarcasm in her voice.
Did you know:
* I have actually been to lunch with a client and forgotten my wallet. (It fell out of my purse in the car.)
* Just last week I was at the checkout counter at the grocery store when I discovered I had forgotten my wallet. As above, it fell out of my purse in the car.
My new largish purse has not alleviated the matter. Now, whenever I reach for it I have a panicky 10-second window before I’m able to find it in there.
It’s become a regular routine here at home.
Me, voice raised an octave higher than usual: “MARK! I LOST MY WALLET!”
Mark, not raising an eye nor eyebrow: “Uh huh.”
Five minutes later…
Me, with sigh of obvious relief: “Found it!”
Mark: “Uh huh.”
Honestly, I think I’m losing my mind sometimes.
