Easiest blackboard ever

Emma has been begging me to hang up a large square of “chalkboard” oil cloth that our friend Marla sent to us awhile back. I have to admit, it’s pretty tempting to hang it on a wall somewhere, but I personally prefer to roll it out and then put it away again when we’re done.
I bought a fresh box of bright and beautiful Crayola-brand chalk the other day. The colours against the black black of the oil cloth were truly gorgeous. We all doodled in our respective corners for awhile, and when we were done the “blackboard” got rolled up again. Easy as pie.
