Giveaway alert – Well.ca loves babies

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Giveaways and product reviews

Have I ever mentioned that I’m a drugstoreaholic? It’s my big shopping weakness. There’s always something good to buy at the drug store when I need a pick-me up. (I’m thinking specifically of lip gloss, hair products, lotions, and chips. Sometimes I even buy them all at once.)

When the kids were wee I really could have used something like Well.ca. There were many many days that I just couldn’t pull it together enough to get everyone ready for a big excursion to do a drugstore shop. Not just to buy the things we needed every day for our family like diaper cream and Tylenol, but those little things that made me feel like a happy human… like lip gloss.

Well.ca has launched something called the “Baby Club“, a new discount program for parents. Join the club and you get free samples and special deals on baby gear. And to help promote their new venture they’ve given me $200 to give to YOU.

Confession: I debated whether or not to give the $200 in one big sum or divide it into bits so I left it to the Fishies on Facebook to decide. They told me to split it in half, so that’s what I’m doing. :)

Up for grabs: TWO x $100-worth of product from Well.ca. (Intended for two different winners.)

Interested?

  • This giveaway is open to anyone residing in Canada, although it is void where prohibited in Quebec. (Sorry mes amis, here’s why.)
  • Have a good look through Well.ca and leave a comment below telling us what items interest you in the Baby Club or in any other category on the site. Would you do the practical thing and spend it on baby cereal and vitamins, or something else? DO TELL. :)
  • If you can’t post your comment because you’re behind a firewall somewhere, you can email it to me for posting at andrea at quietfish dot com but please note, I cannot be responsible if your entry is misdirected or gets stuck in my Spam folder!
  • One entry per person please! I want lots of people to have the opportunity to win. Make sure you leave the right email address, you can’t win if I can’t contact you.
  • Good karma goes to those who tweet or post about this on your FB. Seriously, it increases your odds of winning!! ;)
  • I will be doing a random draw (via random.org) for two winners at noon EST on Tuesday June 28, 2001.
  • I will announce the winner here. Well.ca will be responsible for getting the prizing to the winners.

That’s it! Good luck!

I’d be interested in trying out the different sunscreens from Well.ca: Badger for the kids, La Roche Posay for me. Just in time for summer vacation…

I am a huge fan of well.ca and I’ve already joined their new baby club! I would use the gift towards stuff for the kids (I have two in diapers!!). They also have an amazing selection of all natural products so I would most likely pick up some all natural bubble bath for the kids and a treat for myself like a Mocha Cocoa Badger Balm :-) Thanks!

Why haven’t I ever heard of them? Free shipping? This site is fantastic for people with young kids, who don’t have a second car, who live alone and can’t easily get out, for parents to send care packages to their university kids, etc.
I would spend the money on sunblock. I know $100 on block sounds crazy but we go through enormous amounts of block because we have a pool and many visitors swimming! I might also treat myself to something, I love creams, lotions, etc.

I LOVE well.ca! I can get all the fun stuff and not-so-fun stuff all without leaving the house. I buy our Iron Kids supplements there (kids love ’em), and I’d love to be able to splurge on lipgloss and magazines! With four kids, I don’t get to shop for the fun stuff too often.

I hadn’t heard of well.ca either. It’s a great idea.

I think I would use the money to try out some natural products that I’ve been interested in but hesitant about wasting money on something that doesn’t work.

Great giveaway and great program! Already love well.ca – I order from them quite frequently (they carry this fab organic pancake mix my daughter loves and I can’t seem to find it anywhere else) and have found them to be a great online shop.

I’d definitely be in the market for some organic baby goods from them – just had our 2nd, a son, 4 weeks ago!

Thanks for the chance.

I’m babyless, but I might put it towards some of the useful baby cubes for friends who are expecting…and maybe the foldable bed.

But, I’d also probably stock up on antihistamines for my husband. You have never seen a man with such itchy eyes.

I’m torn between practical and wanting to splurge, so I think I’d split it between something we need, like sunscreen, and the rest either buy something for myself or one of those bright and cheerful wooden toys. We don’t REALLY need more toys but it would be nice for my 7 month old daughter to have something that isn’t a hand-me-down.

I only recently found out about Well.ca & have spent a little time browsing the isles. Fun! This could also be a fab place to help Santa with those stocking stuffers (I’m sorry, yes, I know it’s June)!

I hadn’t heard of well.ca and I like the free shipping, I don’t order a lot from the net because the shipping fees often outstrip the savings.

I would use this for sunscreen, mosquito repellent, fish oil and whatever other random needs we may have when we order.

I would buy a lot of tomato jars and pasta from Eden.
I have never heard of well.ca before. It is a neat website. The prices are a bit higher than you would normally find in a regular store (probably to cover the free shipping), but there are a lot of items that you don’t normally find in a regular store. For example there are a lot of Eden items that I found in stores, but well.ca has even more. Which is great.

I’d definitely mix it up between the practical sunscreen – you’ve never seen a child who needs it more – and some fun toys that are all his – since most of what we have for him is handed down from wonderful friends. Oh, and maybe some sunscreen for me too? Thanks for letting us know about well.ca! The site is on my faves now!

I’ve never purchased from well.ca but I love perusing online! :) if I won, I’d stock up on some organic baby cereal and on some more excema cream for my 6-mo old in hopes that we can find something that works on his crazy itchy excema (I feel as though I’ve already spent thousands on creams and salves). I’d probably also splurge on a lipgloss for me too :)

I’ve always wanted to try Badger sunscreen but it’s very hard to find. A gentle bubble bath is always welcome here, where the cheap stuff produces rashes.
