Greetings Kitchissippi Times readers!

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Misc. life

Hi! Some of you might have found yourselves here after reading a short blurb in the November Kitchissippi Times.

You might be wondering what exactly this is…. ? :)

Well, it’s a blog. But let’s do away with the jargon and call it for what it is: a journal. I much prefer that term anyway.

There aren’t a lot of people who “get” the blog thing quite yet. They wonder what the attraction is. Why read about someone else’s life? Why look at a stranger’s photos? What’s the point of all this?

I wonder about that myself sometimes. But the point is this: sometimes you’ll find someone you can relate to. Sometimes you’ll read something you won’t find in the ordinary mainstream media. Sometimes it’ll make you laugh, or think, or cringe. And sometimes, you’ll find the journal of a good writer, someone who will make socks, pancakes, or blocks seem interesting and worth a second look.

That’s why I read blogs. Why do you? And which are your favourites?
