How young is too young for electronics presents?

It’s an interesting issue. My feeling is this: if the kid is still happy with traditional toys i.e. Lego, dolls, ice skates etc., that’s probably what Santa should be focusing on. Otherwise, what’s going to be under the tree when the kid is 12?

Books! Art Supplies! Sports gear! Tickets to theater productions, specialty classes, etc.

Not every 12 year old needs something electronic. :)

I have to admit – we bought primarily electronic items this Christmas – but mostly because they’re small and we have a packed car with 3 girls and a dog heading on the road…
The funny thing is – they rarely play video games and have enough ‘analog’ toys and imagination to keep them going most of the time.
We didn’t go strictly digital – we did balance them with books, clothes and dance team bags.

If I had boys – they’d have cars and hockey sticks ;-)
Reminds me, their skates still fit – need to take them next week!
