A Fishbowl reader seeks some help

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Misc. life

“… my middle child struggles with ADHD, hyperactivity and defiance issues. We’re on a journey together, as you can imagine, and I wondered if you are aware of any other parents who might blog about similar issues. I’m not even sure how to search through blogs, except to look at each one seperately and get a sense of it. Anyway, I would love to know if you are aware of anything like that. Please let me know if you get a chance.”

Outiside of doing a Google blog search I don’t know of any actual blogs that fit the bill. Can anyone out there help this gal out?

I don’t know anything offhand but you can do a technorati search as well:

When I first started reading blogs it was to find some support when I realized my daughter had some attention disorder issues. I came across One Good Thing. She hasn’t written a lot about her struggles with her son lately, but you can check out the archives or do a search there. She’s got a fantastic attitude towards it all.

I can’t really help there, but noticed this is on TV right now: http://tvlistings4.zap2it.com/partners/program.asp?partner_id=tos&prog_id=4839037&series_id=5449315&dbKey=EP001311940186

Also, check through Ann Douglas’ links over at the Mother of All Blogs. Or email her – she’s lovely, and might help. Her youngest son was recently diagnosed with Asperger’s Disorder, so I’ll bet she’s been reading up too.

Oh! Reading This Mom (http://www.thismom.com/) today made me think of this post. Though each situation is different, her writing is so inspiring.
