First day of school – a haiku to commemorate

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Misc. life

The school bus is here,
but you are not getting off,
Lost child, where are you?

Humour me and share your first day of school haiku. Then bring me a beer.

Was your child seriously not on the bus? Please tell me you’re being silly. Oh my! That’s like my worst fear. I’m having a hard time with this bus thing.

I wasn’t kidding.
They put Emma on the wrong bus, which I didn’t know until (a) I had been waiting at the bus stop for an hour and (b)the bus pulled up and she didn’t get off.

Turned out she’d been put on the wrong bus, one that inadvertantly went on a mini-tour of Ottawa.

She took the whole thing in stride, but I was not impressed… as you can well imagine!

p.s. so Veg, where’s your haiku? ;)

That’s it! I’m homeschooling.
Seriously, wow!
Aren’t there checks and balances?

Ok, maybe not a haiku. Just my thoughts. Maybe I should return to school and learn more about haikus. :-)
