Random musings over the August long weekend at Lac Phillipe

Posted by andrea in: Misc. life

* Almost immediately upon arrival, Emma attempted to wrap her arms around an old tree only to stumble and slide, mid-hug, down the length of the tree trunk. The insides of both arms are scraped. So is her chest.

* Lying on this beach is a lot like being in a beehive. Everything bustles.

* I have ambivalent feelings about men who wear chunky jewelry… mostly I think that they are weird and have unresolved issues.

* The most recent Spins and Needles evening netted:

1 pleasant conversation with Robyn
1 cool button cuff like this one (made by Robyn!)
3 origami rings made by moi

* A recent outing to ValVill with Kristina netted:

1 pair robin’s egg blue terrycloth capris. Mark has made me promise not to wear them outside the house
1 smart back cardigan, formerly from Jacob
1 martini glass (which now makes two)
1 book about flying kittens. I havent shown it to Emma yet. She’ll love it.

* Here’s a tip: don’t have a large honeydew bubble tea (with pearls) and follow it up with beer and pizza. You will live to regret the bloatage.
