Fishing for info

Posted by andrea tomkins in: - Thrifty is nifty|Oh! Things!

I’m busy busy… working on two articles, one of which is for our local paper that is essentially satisfying my love for second-hand goods. :)

Below is one of the items I want to write about. I bought it for 50 cents. It’s 4 or 5 inches in diameter. There is a hole in the lid. There are no markings on the bottom so I have no idea where to start Googling. I doubt it’s worth anything, but if anyone out there can give me any info about it I would really appreciate it! (i.e I’m not even sure what style this is suppose to be: Chinese? Japanese? None of the above?)

And what do you think? Trash or treasure? Worthy of giving as a gift?
