We have a winner! Thanks for your entries everyone! I know there are a lot of community-minded folks who are on committees for parks and playgrounds and other community spaces. What if I told you that there is $50,000 grant for use towards a community project with your city’s name on it, just waiting to be […]

We have a winner! Thanks for your entries!   We’re slowly getting back to regularly scheduled programming around these parts. I have a lot I want to share about our camping trip but in the meantime I wanted to (a) fill you in on a family photo shoot we had with Fishbowl patron Sara McConnell […]

This giveaway is over and we have a winner! Thanks for your entries everyone! Regular readers have already heard all about terra20; they’re a Fishbowl patron and also happen to be one of my favourite places to shop in Ottawa. The Obligatory Blurb

My name is Andrea and I live in the Westboro area of Ottawa with my husband Mark and our dog Piper who is kind of a big deal on Instagram. We also have two human daughters: Emma (20) and Sarah (18). During the day I work as a writer at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. I am a longtime Ottawa blogger and I've occupied this little corner of the WWW since 1999. The Fishbowl is my whiteboard, water cooler, and journal, all rolled into one. I'm passionate about healthy living, arts and culture, family travel, great gear, good food, and sharing the best of Ottawa for families. I also love vegetables, photography, gadgets, and great design.
