Neato Magnito

It’s Friday, and that means I’m posting over at Canadian Family Magazine today!

You know, I love crafts that go the extra mile to encourage creativity (and literacy!), so this week we made our own magnetic word kit. It’s very easy to do AND we managed to toss a whole stack of magazines into the recycle bin at the same time. You can see how we did it over here.

Hey. I just had an idea. You can do this in any language! How about a French-language magnetic word kit for those of us with kids in French immersion? Or maybe Spanish! ¿Qué piensa usted? Que pensez-vous? Co si myslíte? ;)

I like this craft. Note…they sell 6″x8″ sheets of adhesive magnetic “stuff” at Dollarama (for those of you who venture into these stores). Great for making photo magnets – another great craft.

great idea! I will go the repurpose route with this one. I have been trying to figure out with a whole bunch of magnets that we have received over time (like the ones from realtors over the mail) and this is just the thing. thanks.

binki – Yes! With the larger sheets you can expand this craft to include pictures and photos.

Carla – I like this idea very much. Great use of old magnets!

My name is Andrea and I live in the Westboro area of Ottawa with my husband Mark and our dog Piper who is kind of a big deal on Instagram. We also have two human offspring: Emma (24) and Sarah (22).
