Is it Friday yet?

Posted by andrea in: Misc. life

Lordumhelpme.

Please, someone, fetch me some toothpicks so I have a HOPE of keeping my eyes propped open for just awhile longer.

This week has been busy busy.

Today, for example, went something like this:

Wake, help prep kiddies, eat, work, work, work, eat, work, work, walk to Emma’s school and VOLUNTEER IN HER KINDERGARTEN CLASS for the afternoon (am I crazy? the answer is yeeeees.) come home, hang out with E., tidy for dinner, eat, work, work, work aaaaand work. I’m doing work that had to be done yesterday, that needs to get done today, and will have to be done tomorrow and the next day.

And frankly, none of this work is that exciting. And note the lack of a shower at any point in the previous paragraph.

I’ve been too busy to write, too busy to do much of anything for that matter. Even laundry! Funny thing about what happens to the underwear drawer after you’ve been married a few years. The *good* skivvies only come out when the regular ones are in the hamper. And to think I used to wear them all the time.

Related: I am fairly certain I could hear myself *jingling* as I chased children around the classroom today, dragging them hither and yon to the Required Activities Assigned by The Teacher. (Yes, I have underwear with bells, are you happy now Internet?)

*sigh*

Dammit, that’s it. Next time I have a few hours, screw laundry, I am going shopping!

Whooo! Quite Merry there, young lady! Heh!
I ALWAYS prefer to buy new undies rather than wash. Hate laundry!

LOL – Don’t think I ever owned a pair of undies with bells — but it gives some ideas for my Santa list this year :)
