Ah! Let’s hear it for the work-at-homers!

Posted by andrea in: Misc. life

March Break is over. The highlight: Emma and Sarah had the unexpected opportunity to sit in the cab of a real fire engine. Emma got to start it (with the press of a button, not the turn of a key… methinks this is a safety feature for people like me who always lose the car keys) and she got to work the emergency lights and Sarah got to ring the bell.

The lowlight: finding a tupperware container in Emma’s lunchbag this morning. I swear it was practically crawling. As if I wasn’t queasy enough to begin with! It has been there, waiting, festering, for exactly ten days. I couldn’t even tell what had been inside, but whatever it was had transformed into something VERY green and VERY fuzzy and VERY stinky.

Anyway, mummy’s been working hard all morning. As a treat I am slurping tea and dunking many gingersnaps into its hot liquidy goodness. Ohhh CAN YOU JUST TASTE IT! Emma and I are flitting off to an impromptu birthday party this afternoon.

Groceries? Plans for dinner? Bah!
