I’ve got a wee job for someone

Posted by andrea in: Misc. life

So, um, does anyone know a metal/iron forger in the Ottawa Valley area? I tried looking up “blacksmith” using Canada411 but for some reason it came up dry. Go figure.

Edited to add: Scratch that. I’m just going to ship it back and get a new one. Unless my next-door neighbor has a welder’s torch I don’t want to deal with lugging it around the city.

We bought a pretty screen for our fireplace-that-isn’t-really-a-fireplace. I had seen it on the cover of a magazine, called, and bought it. It arrived today. And here it is. Note how one side of it doesn’t quite make it to the floor. This is sooo annoying.

There’s a “Forgeron” in Wakefield. Turn into the village off the highway (at Tigre Geant) and when you’re almost at the stop sign you’ll see a sign on your right.
