Bits and bobs

Posted by andrea in: Misc. life

_ Now that I know I my roller skates are coming I feel – kind of – light of heart. Silly me.

_ On the film front: watched Frida on CBC the other night. Why on earth didn’t I catch this at the Bytown when it was here? It was A-mazing. I had no idea.

_ More film stuff: we watched the Aviator last night. I know, I know. It’s taken awhile. We actually had to watch it in two parts, because we started late and even though the fact that H.H. was peeing in milk bottles and lining them up in a purty row was positively RIVETING I couldn’t help but fall asleep.

I now know why every single person who mentioned this film to me said “I never knew he was so weird.” Ok. I get it.

_ I bought more of this, “the snack of the maharajas”… it’s the sooo good. Do you like spicy? If you do, I dare you to try a handful of this stuff. Half the bag will be gone before you remember that it’s not polite to hold a snack bag to your face and suck back its contents like that.

_ and I bought the new Harry Potter too.

Must. Stop. Shopping.

If you enjoy Indian snacks, you can pick them up at a local store in a mini mall beside the Lebanese eatery and across the street from “open 24 hours” Loeb along Wellington. My Indian-born wife shops for her native snacks here.
