A little movie for ya

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Multimedia experiments

Yesterday I was out in the yard when I discovered how it is that I have to fill this feeder twice a day. A squirrel was hanging on the upper branch by his feet, and pulling the feeder up towards him by the string with his front paws.

I yelled out:

HEY – I KNOW WHAT YOU’RE TRYING TO DO. GET DOWN!

Sarah immediately came to the window and said, “what are you yelling at daddy about?”

So, in honour of this, the season of squirrels, I’ve decided to reload the famous Squirrel movie for your viewing pleasure.

Some of you may have seen this already.

Camera work by yours truly, computer stuff by Mark. Location: our back yard. Please note, audio cut-outs are intentional… your speakers are NOT malfunctioning. :)

Edited to add: Poor Mark. He thinks his audio effect is too obscure and no one will get the pun.

The Obligatory Blurb

My name is Andrea and I live in the Westboro area of Ottawa with my husband Mark and our dog Piper who is kind of a big deal on Instagram. We also have two human offspring: Emma (24) and Sarah (22). During the day I work as a writer at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. I am a longtime Ottawa blogger and I've occupied this little corner of the WWW since 1999. The Fishbowl is my whiteboard, water cooler, and journal, all rolled into one. I'm passionate about healthy living, arts and culture, travel, great gear, good food, and sharing the best of Ottawa. I also love vegetables, photography, gadgets, and great design.
