Another strike from my list

Posted by andrea in: Misc. life

The only thing I did last night was sip Bailey’s while watching the final episode of Martha Stewart’s apprentice. I won’t rail on about the show, but I will summarize by saying I watched this one (and the last) and realized that I know nothing about event planning, loathe event planning, and would suck at event planning. I can’t believe they pulled it off. I think Donna rightly won. She had the advantage of publishing experience, and I think her line about how Martha should be promoting health and wellness cinched the deal, well, considering the job was going to be as an editorial assistant on a new magazine called “body and soul.”

I hope she and Martha are very happy together. Donna’s next project should be a “tell all” book about the show and her job. Or perhaps she’ll have to sign a non-disclosure agreement?

Otherwise, the to-do list is getting shorter!

My shopping is finally done, including things for the teachers in our lives. I used to agonize over this (How many coffee mugs do they already own? Christmas ornaments? Is their room in their lives for another box of chocolates?), but this year we got the same as last: gift cards to Staples. The idea was recommended to me awhile back, and although it’s not exactly creative, I am assured it’s highly appreciated. The way I see it, they can use the money to buy something for themselves, or something for their classroom. Either way, everyone wins.

Today: the wrapping begins. Wish me luck. I am the WORST wrapper in the world.

Tonight: I’ll take Emma out to buy Sarah a gift.

And guess what? Mark is baking Christmas cookies on Saturday! I’m sure there’s a photo essay in there somewhere. :)

This just in:
