Fours

Posted by andrea in: Memes/blog awards etc

This has been everywhere. And it’s finally getting to me! I was tagged by that lovable gal Nancy.

Thanks Nancy. I think! :)

Four jobs I’ve had
1. grocery store cashier (think light blue polyester uniform yeeeeuck)
2. camp counsellor
3. salesgirl at a men’s clothing store
4. website production manager

Four movies I could watch over and over
1. Amelie
2. Spirited Away/My Neighbor Totoro (I can’t decide between the two!)
3. The Bells of St. Mary’s (and that scene with the boy’s choir makes my cry every single time)
4. The Bishop’s Wife

Four places I’ve lived
1. 3-bedroom bunglalow in Bramalea/Bramption, ON
2. All-girls residence at Carleton University, Ottawa (At first I felt ripped off about being stuck with just girls, but quickly realized that the ratio of boys:girls was no less than on the co-ed floors)
3. In a 2-storey home in Centretown (Ottawa) with 3 other girls (woo hoo!)
4. 1.5 storey wartime-era home in Ottawa, ON

Four TV shows I love
1. Six Feet Under (why is it over, WHY!?)
2. The National (haha, yes, the evening news on CBC. I like watching Rex Murphy)
3. Who’s Line is it Anyway (the only show that will make me laugh so hard I fall off the couch)
4. Gilmour Girls (Hark! I hear the sound of people MOCKING ME! I know it’s sucky, but hey, we all need a bit of that kind of fluff in our lives.)

Four places I’ve been on vacation
1. Las Vegas (most recently)
2. Alberta Rockies (Banff, Jasper, Lake Louise area – our honeymoon trip!)
3. Czech Republic: mostly Prague
4. Germany

Four sites I visit daily
1. atcards.com (fulfills my artistic obsessions)
2. Metafilter.com
3. 4++++ you wouldn’t believe how many sites I have bookmarked. It should be illegal.

Four favourite foods
1. Vietnamese
2. Sushi
3. Freshly baked bread
4. Cafe latte — ok, I know that’s a beverage.

Four places I’d rather be
1. In bed with a book and a hot cafe latte.
2. In a Parisian cafe
3. A beach in the Algarves
4. Tahiti or Bora Bora. Whichever is quieter. And warmer.

Four CDs I listened to most recently. [CDs? I don’t actually listen to many CDs anymore. iTunes baby, it’s the way to go.]
1. Green Day – American Idiot
2. Prozzak – Cruel, Cruel World (listening to it now… every song is great)
3. No Doubt – Best of
4. Homemade mixes of my own concoction (Who would have known that Wayne Newton’s version of Danke Schoen and Devo’s Whippet would sound so good back to back?)

Last four vehicles I’ve owned
1. Purple bike with a banana seat, streamers coming out of the handle-bars and hockey cards stuck in the spokes (I think that’s what happened with that Gretzky rookie card)
2. Blue 10-speed “racing” bike (When I was 15 I gave my dad an ultimatum: new bike this year, or car the next. Guess which one I got?)
3. Mountain bike I rode exactly twice last summer
4. 1999 Mazda Protege – bought new with my husband when Emma was wee. I’ve never owned my own car!

As for the four people I need to tag, well, there aren’t even four people left on the Internet who haven’t done this one. But if you ARE one of those four people – and you feel like participating – post your list in the comments or link to the answer on your site. I would love to read it!
