It seems as though my readership is comprised almost entirely of Secret Tooters (see post of Oct 6 if you’re not sure what I’m taking about). Hmm. I never would have guessed so many of you are holding it in like that. Oh man. That can’t be very healthy.

This was the Weekend Of Loose Belts, otherwise known as Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada. You ‘Mericans have your Thanksgiving later. This is unfortunate in my view. In Canada, there is a nice gap between Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and visits. You should try celebrating our Thanksgiving for a change. Go ahead. Try it. You’ll like it so much you’ll never go back.
We spent Sunday at my mother’s, who lives a 3-hour drive outside of Ottawa. Mark and I spent most of the day performing the Annual Raking of the Forest. It took hours, but it wasn’t bad given the glorious sunshine and that ever-burning pile of leafs and twigs. I love that smell.
Monday we had a turkey at my in-laws. (Table pictured above) We stuffed ourselves. By the time dessert came around (carrot cake or pumpkin pie) I questioned why I had given away my maternity pants.
It was a great long weekend.
And now we’re back to regularly scheduled weekday programming.
