career-type scribblings

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Misc. life

Inside the Memorial ChamberIf you know me you know that I like to write.

Scratch that. I love, love to write. I love to read. I love words. I love words that are used in a pretty or clever way. I love finding the right word. It gives me a particular thrill. I’ve been that way since I can remember.

My favourite things: bundling myself into my duvet and reading in bed, sitting outdoors on a sunny day with my pen and notebook.

It makes me particularly happy when I am given the opportunity to use words and string them together for publication.

I’m busy working on a new project: a script for an educational video about the Canadian Parliamentary system for secondary school students.

The producers and I got a special private tour of Parliament Hill last week. (The photo above was taken in the Memorial Chamber.) The tour was amazing. I am really excited about this project… not just because it gets me back into the world of film/video production that I love so much, but because I get to stretch my brain in a good way.

Yay me!
