issues

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Misc. life

The blog has been down since at least 2:30 this morning.*

I don’t know what happened. Perhaps it was a contest-related traffic overload? :)

I do know that I’m finally up and running again, and I am once again reminded that I need to figure out how to make a backup of this site in case something goes really wrong.

* Why was I trying to log in here at 2:30 a.m.? I was up with Sarah, that’s why. At around 2 a.m. I was woken up by someone in bathroom. This in itself is highly unusual. No one in the family is in the bathroom at that hour. I didn’t know who it was until I saw Sarah float by my door with her little blue SPÖKA. (It paid for itself right there.) Twenty minutes later she called me. She was burning up. I stayed with her until she fell asleep, but then I wasn’t able to fall back asleep until around 4:00.

I figure it will hit me around 3:00 this afternoon. As for Sarah, she’s home with me today. Poor thing. She’s so unhappy.

oh no, poor Sarah, school just started and the bugs are already floating about

apparently the 3rd week in September is always the worst one at CHEO for emergency visits wrt respiratory illnesses, they call it the “back to school syndrome” there…I know as we ended up twice there over the years with one of our kids

keeping everything crossed for this year

hope sarah is feeling better quickly

hope you didn’t ‘crash’ yourself this afternoon

just a quick question about your light…is it portable (batteries) or plugged in? i am looking for something ‘safe’ for my two year old daughter who is now in a ‘big girl bed’. something that won’t burn her (ie light bulb) or be tempting for her to unplug and plug in herself.

Porter – It’s a rechargable night light… rubbery and unbreakable. You push down the head to turn it on. I love it.

Thanks Andrea…I guess I will be heading into the local Ikea to pick two of them up (one for each of my girls). Its a great reason to buy a few packages of Ikeas ginger cookies, they are the best ever.
