Summer vacation – first installment

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Photography|travel talk

I have to confess that I am incredibly overwhelmed by the number of photos I took on our summer holiday. There are oh, about 900 of them to choose from. I’ve decided to post a select few, and instead of writing 6000 word summaries of our trip (BOR-ing) I’m going to summarize in as few words as possible. :)

First stop on our trip: Quebec City. There is a lot to love about old Quebec City.

We loved it in the nighttime…

… and in the daytime.

I’ve never been to Quebec City, The City That Is Mostly Uphill, but I loved it and can’t wait to return.

We only stayed one night. Our hotel was okay, not fantastic, okay. But while we were here I realized something. When there are kids along, fun can be found just about anywhere.

I haven’t been to Quebec city since I was really young (I don’t remember it) and look forward to going one day. So true, kids can find fun anywhere.
BTW, you look great!!!

I love seeing and reading about your vacation. It makes me excited about our future with our boys. I can’t wait to go on family adventures with them and make the kinds of memories you are making with your girls. Thank you so much for sharing!

Quebec city another favorite of mine. YOU have to go during Carinval…I’ve been in the summer and the winter. It’s always FUN!

Maybe next summer we should take Nathan. He has never seen it.
