Is it cruel to let newborn sea-monkeys live in a tank with their decomposing forebears?

Um. No – I think the sea monkey does not have the ability of forthought and therefore the sight of its dead kin would likely just provide a snack.

They do in real life, that is, before they get eaten. If you change the water, you’ll have to buy all the new stuff to prepare the solution they life in.
