Whereupon I waiver on the waiver

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Misc. life

I am going zip lining on Sunday. I haven’t mentioned it because I am nervous. Excited and nervous. And nervous. I have just printed out the waiver, which I have to bring with me on Sunday.

It states:

“The risks associated with the activity of the AERIAL PARK in which I will be participating are, in particular but not limited to: injury due to a fall or other movement, (sprain, facture, etc.); injury due to a blunt or sharp object (branches, equipment, etc.); cold or hypothermia; injury resulting from accidental contact or other contact between individuals; food allergy; water contact or drowning when; burn or heat-induced injuries.”

 Oh dear.

HAVE FUN! Personally I wouldn’t do it, I have no interest in pooping my pants in the air…cause that’s totally what I think would happen!
You are going to feel so amazing when you’re done, can’t wait to hear about it…who is going to take photos???

These days that same disclaimer is printed on a cup of coffee from McDonalds. I wouldn’t worry too much.

Porter: I’m going to have to borrow a camera. I can’t imagine lugging my DSLR with me.

Ernie and I went on the Aerial Experience at Camp Fortune last year. It was a blast and totally safe. We went with another couple and laughed all afternoon (make sure you visit the loo before you begin). Have fun!

My daughter went last fall to Lafleche for her b-day. Although she had her moments including tears out on a platform, she has signed up to do the supreme course this Thanksgiving weekend.
