the season of giving

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Oh! Things!|Ottawa

balsam wreathI sure love the smell of evergreens.

Our good friend Pete is selling these fresh holiday wreaths as a fundraiser for his daughter’s peewee competitive hockey team. Not only it is a grrrreat cause, but the wreaths are gorgeous, aren’t they?

If you’re in Ottawa resident and would you like to buy one (for yourself or as a gift … it’s a non-brainer gift for friends, neighbors, and even in-laws!) here are the details:

– they are only $20 each and will last the whole winter (at least this is what I am told).
– the order needs to be in by Oct. 24. They’ll be arriving around the beginning of December.
– Pete has kindly offered to deliver the wreaths (YES really!) when they come in, so this deal is really only for folks living within the city of Ottawa.

ETA: Pete tells me they’re “made of a mixture of balsam and pine, and smells very much of pine.”

Let me know in the comments if you’d like to buy one of these lovely wreaths. I’ll send you an email, CC Pete, and you two can work out delivery and other details. Sound good?

Yay! I can’t wait to get mine.

I would buy one (or more) if I lived in Ottawa…fresh greenery is a must for the holiday season. What a fantastic fundraising idea, something I could actually use for a change!

Hi Andrea. I’ll take one. I figure I can just change the bow and stuff after Christmas. Should be very nice on my front door.
