Emma is watching this classic Merrie Melodies on YouTube as I type. It’s one of my faves.

I have a load of delicates on the line downstairs (I line dry most of my clothes) and as soon as they’re dry I’m going to pile them in a suitcase. I leave for a media junket to Disney tomorrow morning. The PR folks emailed an itinerary and a lot has been planned out for me. I can’t wait to get there.
I love to travel, but the transportation stageof travel makes me anxious. I’m can’t fully relax until l’m at my destination. I wish I wasn’t like that, but I am. I’m debating whether I should pack Gravol.
I have been busy wrapping up various bits of work before I go. I’m still not quite done.

We have been debating whether or not to invest in a MacBook before this trip. (Ain’t she a beaut?) It would have been nice to have, but I have been asking myself, do I really need it? And can I continue to get by without one?

I have some new blog patrons. Have you noticed? Their ads are in the far right column. I’m very happy with how this has all been going. Yay for patrons!

I have a big post brewing about holiday spending. It’ll have to wait until I come back from my trip. It’s something I’ve been thinking about quite a bit. Mark asked Emma last night what she’d like for Christmas. She said we already had a lot of toys (“our basement is full of toys mummy”) and couldn’t think of anything she wanted. A result, perhaps, of not watching commercial television? She doesn’t know what the “hot” toys are this holiday season. She asked for a remote-controlled car and a copy of the Guinness Book of World records. In a related conversation, I asked her how many gifts would be “enough.” She wavered between 10 and 12, and then settled on 10. But then she qualified that by saying that if she received 10 gifts she’d give five to poor people. Her eyes started to well up and she said, “I can’t imagine being poor and not getting any toys at Christmas.” What a kind soul.
More later… it’s back to work for now.
