Got a talented little munchkin?

Posted by andrea tomkins in: - Ottawa for kids|Ottawa

The National tour of The Wizard of Oz will be holding auditions for children to perform the roles of “munchkins” in the March 10 – 15 shows at the National Art Centre.

The audition will be taking place January 31 at St. Laurent Shopping Centre. Here’s the caveat: they’re only considering children who are part of an existing theatre, choir, or dance group.

More information, as well as the application form, is over at www.wizardofozontour.com. (Click on Munchkinland.)

Hi Andrea
More specifically, they have to audition as part of a group. A group of 12 from one school or theatre etc. Just belonging to a dance school etc is not enough. Your post could be interpreted that there are individual auditions but it is by group only:(
Neat though:)

No worries-I just thought my daughter would like to go for the experience but alas, she doesn’t meet the ‘group’ requirement:) Do your girls?
Loving your site still….almost as much as The Candy Store….:)

*sigh*
I love the Candy Store too. Have you met the owner? She’s sweet (no pun intended, ha!)

My girls don’t meet the requirements. Too bad! It could have been a fun experience.

As for the perogies, that’s a post to come. I will soon reveal all! (I will say this much, the were the best perogies we’ve had, well, since forever.) !
