The B-word

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Misc. life

Mark bought that Katy Parry song off iTunes the other day (Here’s the video. It is brilliant in its cheesiness.)

We were listening to it and Sarah came in the room.

“Sarah,” I said. “This song has a bad word in it.”
“Which one?”
“The B-word.”
“What’s the B-word?”
“I don’t know if I can tell you.”
Sarah thinks for a second, leans in, and then whispers: “Is it BUM?”

So cute! My daughter did the same sort of thing, saying the “s” word and then it turned out she was talking about “shut up” … love it.

That’s so cute … goes to show that while they hear (and probably use) bad words, they don’t really understand them. Speaking of which … must watch potty mouth around son. It’s not media I’m worried about corrupting the mini-man, it’s me!

Cute!

But…Like Trea….I’m rather embarrassed to think that my girls might both know what ‘b’ word you meant and my girls are a touch younger than yours. shame.
