Moment of Bliss #009

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Moments of bliss

Friday February 12, 2010

It was cold downstairs and it was making it hard to type.

I ran up to our bedroom to grab a sweater and as I crossed the threshold I couldn’t help but notice that the warm bedroom was pulling me in, embracing me, already working its midmorning magic on my fingers and my shop-worn soul.

The sun was pouring in, spilling over the bed, filling up the covers. This radiant heat was too tempting to resist.

How could I not lie down? Just for a second? Or two.

I thawed. The sun beamed down on my back. I felt very much like a cat. A happy cat.
