On this, the day before nine

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Misc. life

  • The cake is planned, but not made

  • Mark called store A to have a pair of rollerblades set aside, but I ended up at store B by mistake (“Do you have rollerblades put aside for me? No? Is there someone named Alan here? No? Okaaaay.”) and left the salespeople thinking I am a total nutcase after I called Mark to confirm that I am indeed a total nutcase.
  • Rollerblades were purchased elsewhere
  • Other gifts have been bought, but not wrapped
  • I had a near nervous breakdown re: the loot bags that aren’t really loot bags.
  • Not everyone has RSVP’d, but how can I blame them? The invites were terribly late.
  • Groceries remain to be purchased
  • Decorations need to be hung
  • Helium balloons have been purchased, and made for a challenging drive home

If you see me at the store later with a twitchy eye, now you’ll know why.
