Welcome to our newest patron: Saunders Farm

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Fishbowl patrons

Is there anyone in Ottawa who doesn’t know about Saunders Farm? Saunders is the newest patron here at the Fishbowl. Yay Saunders!

We’ve been going to Saunders Farm since the girls were tiny. We have spent many great days at Saunders and have many memories… including one of Sarah falling asleep during the haunted hayride despite the fact that we were being pursued by this:

Many parents already know that Saunders is a fantastic Halloween-related destination, but may not know about all the other amazing stuff that’s going on there.

Let me rephrase that: aMAZEing.

For the past few years Saunders Farm has gotten into the maze collection business. Somehow they have managed to amass 11 different mazes: big and small, easy and hard. Mazes are cool. But surely I didn’t have to tell you that.

Saunders is about summer fun as well as autumn fun. Did you know they have a splashpad now too? There is a ton of stuff going on. Check out the events page on their website. Me: I am loving their “walk-in” movie idea. (They’re showing Over the Hedge on Thursday July 8 and it’s only $20/family!)

Check out Saunders Farm Facebook page if you need help keeping track of all the cool stuff going on and like to get the inside scoop about special events and promotions.

They have annual passes for sale too.

Saunders isn’t just for kids. There’s a new event coming up called “Outstanding in our Fields – a Farm Feast.” Food lovers commence freakout… nnnnnnnnnow. It sounds like a hoot. And I wish I could go. It’s an afternoon of exploring the farm followed by some fantastic food and wine catered by Savvy Company & Epicuria Fine Food Store and Catering. You need to register ahead of time, which I suggest you do so quickly because it’s sure to sell out.

Anyway, yes, thank you Saunders for your support and patronage! It is much appreciated.
