First day of school 2010

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Misc. life|Photography

The first week of school is almost over! Where did it go? (I KNOW! I’ve been running around like one of those proverbial chickens.)

This is what our first day looked like, way back on Tuesday September 7:

First day of school 2010

First day of school 2010

Bullety observations:

  • We need to get up earlier
  • I like being busy but it’s making my eye twitch
  • I’m switching evening jogs for mid-morning ones
  • I like my routines
  • … and so do the girls
  • BEHOLD. THE FLURRY OF FORMS HAS BEGUN YET AGAIN. Sign this! Sign that! I need eight dollars! Egads. I need a system.

How are you?

I like Sarah’s new glasses! (New?). Cute and adorable girls.

I’m still in the midst of adjustments. 5yo is in SK, missing most of his friends who transferred to a french immersion school or went to grade 1, and 2yo is back into a very busy routine at Montessori.

Me?

Um…honestly, those 3 hours a day of absolute peace and quiet are rather refreshing!!

I am so impressed to see that your daughters will still wear their rainboots. My daughter turned 12 this summer and stopped wearing them 2 years ago. She was teased and that was the end of the rainboots. I wasn’t impressed. Hanging out in a soggy field at recess is very hard on your shoes. And they make such cute rainboots these days.

Man, I still covet those glasses. And the blue-green umbrella. Your kids are stylin’. :)

Funny thing about the stylin’ umbrellas is that the girls actually switched umbrellas for the photo as they felt each others umbrellas matched each others outfits better.

Morning runs are always the best. Makes the rest of the day great.

I agree, love Sarah’s glasses. Your girls seemed to have changed so much…you posted photos during the summer right??

How am I?

NOT GOOD!!! I hate feeling this way when school starts again. I’m so overwhelmed. I think it takes until after the first full week (or two) of school before things feel like a routine. I was sure happy that the weekend was here.
