Day two of March Break

Posted by andrea tomkins in: - Ottawa for kids|Easy ways to make kids happy|parenting

My March Break philosophy goes something like this: Every day there will be a little something.

Today’s little something will include a visit with good friends who are visiting from out of town. Maybe we’ll stroll down to the Westboro Village for lunch.

Yesterday we went to the Pinecrest Chapters (after stopping by a big sale at DeBoer’s – love that store) and bought some books.

Those little somethings add a bit of punch to my favourite kind of lazy day. We hang around in pjs. Cook up a few special things to eat. Read. Drink tea. Take the dog for long walks. Wash and put away a load of laundry. The girls (mostly) entertain themselves while I squeeze in some work.

I kind of like it this way.
