Welcome to our newest patron: The Guy With The Dog

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Fishbowl patrons

It is my great pleasure to welcome Sean McCann, a.k.a The Guy With the Dog.

Not only does he make his home in this neck of the woods (he lives in Westboro Beach) but he works, plays, and sends his kids to school here too. I had the pleasure of meeting Sean recently and getting to know him via my friend Cleo Thompson, director of Character Creative.

What can I tell you about Sean? He spends a lot of time with his family and his cutie pie pooch named Gus (who has his very own page on Sean’s website – ha!). He’s been in real estate (Sean, not Gus) for ten years and has been in the top 1% nationally since 2006. He has a team of three working with him. His charity of choice is the Snowsuit Fund. (In fact, he makes a donation every time they make a sale.) I’m told that his team’s listings sell faster than the Ottawa average with purchase prices higher than the Ottawa average. All stuff that’s good to know!

The team has a fresh new blog about living well in Ottawa, and it has a special focus on Westboro. Bookmark it to get the 411 on the city and the neighborhood that I love so much.

Thank you Sean, for becoming a Fishbowl patron. Your support is appreciated very much!

Sean is a really good guy. It’s funny, when we first moved to the neighbourhood, we found his flyers kind of gimmicky, but when we got Jayne in the fall, she and Gus started to play together (one of the many Guses in the neighbourhood, in fact). He’s about as enjoyable company as one could ask for when walking your dog…an experience that can be just as challenging as house hunting, at times.

Anyway, so glad you two are making the connection!

The Obligatory Blurb

My name is Andrea and I live in the Westboro area of Ottawa with my husband Mark and our dog Piper who is kind of a big deal on Instagram. We also have two human offspring: Emma (24) and Sarah (22). During the day I work as a writer at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. I am a longtime Ottawa blogger and I've occupied this little corner of the WWW since 1999. The Fishbowl is my whiteboard, water cooler, and journal, all rolled into one. I'm passionate about healthy living, arts and culture, travel, great gear, good food, and sharing the best of Ottawa. I also love vegetables, photography, gadgets, and great design.
