Ottawa Giveaway alert: four Sens tickets for “Kids’ Opening Night”

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Giveaways and product reviews|Ottawa

ETA: We have a winner! Thanks for your entries!

Did you know that this year marks the Sens’ 20th Anniversary? There’s cool stuff planned for the entire season but there’s something going on that might be of special interest to Ottawa families. It’s called Metro Family Nights, and on designated Metro Family nights you can swing a special deal that includes four tickets to a Sens game, four hot dogs and four drinks from only $99. (Details and ticket info is online here.)

This giveaway is for one package of four tickets to Kids’ Opening Night on Saturday October 22, 2011. The Senators are playing the Columbus Blue Jackets, and it’s a Metro Family Night which means that in addition to some great hockey there’ll also be balloon artists on the concourse before the game as well as local mascots from around the community. It’s a great night out for the family!

Sens excitement!

Want to win? Read on.

  • This giveaway is open to anyone residing in the Ottawa area, but it is void where prohibited in Quebec. (Sorry mes amis, here’s why.)
  • Please make sure you’re available to attend the game before you enter.
  • For your entry to qualify, use the comments below to tell us why you’d like to win these tickets. That’s it. There are no other hoops to jump through. Yay!
  • The winner will have to pick up their tickets at Scotiabank Place right before the game at Concierge Gate #2 not at the regular boxoffice.
  • One entry per family please! We want lots of people to have the opportunity to win.
  • If you can’t post your comment here for whatever reason, you can email it to me for posting: andrea at quietfish dot com however I cannot be responsible if your entry is misdirected or gets stuck in my Spam folder.
  • Good karma goes to those who tweet or post about this on Facebook. I bet you didn’t know this but it actually increases your odds of winning! Really.
  • This giveaway has a quick turnaround. I will do a random draw of all qualifying entries using Random.org at 10 p.m. EST on Friday October 21, 2011.

Got it? Good. Now over to you!

We took our son to his first hockey game, the 67’s earlier this month and he loved it! At three years old he has many challenges and one is language, but he loved the game so much and had such a good time, he managed to get the work HOC-KEY out, over and over all night long.

It has had us smiling and we want to keep on fostering his love for the game and his desire to express himself! I grew up with the opportunity to go to many NHL games out west as a child and want to give him that chance. Even more so because he loves it so much!

The Little Man is obsessed with the Sens these days and we’d love to be able to treat him to a game, especially before the chaos of another little brother arrives on the scene in just a few weeks!

:o)

Thanks for the giveaway!

My sister-in-law is out of town this weekend, and I would love to take her daughter (our niece) and my father-in-law to the game. How cool would it be to have three generations of Sens fans at the game?

All four of our kids have never been to a Sens game but they’ve been to Scotaibank place to see their cousin play in the Bell Canada Cup – I think they would have a blast seeing the big boys play since they love attending a 67’s game once a year. (I’d keep the 2 year old home and let the 3 older ones go with dad!)

I think this is a totally wicked prize pack. We don’t have plans as a family this week and my step son is a die hard hockey fan and has yet to see the sens. He just moved to ottawa over the summer!

Make it happen andrea!

Our older daughter loves hockey and has been to a few games over the years with her Dad – but it woud be great for our younger daughter to go too and see what all the fun is about :) We generally don’t do hockey games like this as a family – it’s just too expensive – so this would be a wonderful opportunity for us to share together :) Thanks for the contest!

I’d love to win these tickets because we’ve gone to Ottawa 67s games as a family, but not yet the Senators. I haven’t wanted to risk forking out the cash and then our son not getting the most out of the experience. This would be a great way to get our feet wet with NHL games as a family!
