Coldsnap

Ottawa #weather #instaweather

CBC asked why we like to talk about the weather so much. I’ll tell you: because we are PROUD of the fact that we can survive it! And if it doesn’t kill us it makes us stronger right?

I went for a 20 minute walk this morning and came home with my scarf frozen stiff around my face, feeling like a conquering hero. If I can venture out and live to tell the tale, heck, I can do pretty much anything!

FEEL THE POWER!

In related news, I have so much related news to share, and so little time to share it this week. I will quickly summarize by mentioning that I have been busy with a new gig (more about that later!), am participating in a cool little photo contest and fundraiser for the Ottawa Foodbank (deets here!), getting in a great walk on the treadmill EVERY DAY, and am very very happy.

I have a feeling you’re going to win that Foodbank photo contest. Super photog and Ottawaphile. How can you lose?

Nice that they let public submit photos. I might just submit a few shots.
