A last-minute addition to your Halloween menu: Hairy eyeballs

We were at Farm Boy yesterday when I spotted a package of rambutan for $1.49. I decided to buy it and make everyone try some. (One of the perks of parenthood, IMO.)

Rambutan, in case you’re not familiar with it, is a fruit from Southeast Asia. It’s chewy and very mild tasting and sweet. The flavour is pretty close to lychee actually!

It looks like this when you cut it open:

… which makes me think it’s the ideal fruit to serve up at Halloween, don’t you think?!
