Over at the Globe & Mail: Bacon soda: delicious or disgusting? But it’s not just about bacon soda. Plenty of other “inspired” foodlike products are mentioned too. Ew.

I am a proud bacon lover and would be happy to partake in bacon mayonnaise or bacon popcorn. But bacon soda? No thanks.
Most of the foods mentioned are foods that can be eaten on the go, such as while driving or walking. The Pancake Bites can be popped in your mouth one at a time, rather than trying to hold onto a greasy McGriddle sandwich while driving. The Bagelful is easier to hold with one hand than a traditional bagel with cream cheese. I suppose the sandwich in a can wouldn’t get squished at the bottom of a bag… but I always wonder who exactly is willing to pay a premium for pre-made PB&J sandwiches. The question first occurred to me when I heard about the frozen ones from Smuckers. http://www.smuckers.com/products/group.aspx?groupId=3
In fact, I’m surprised they are still available.

What do you think about chicken-flavoured chips? For some reason that is just the most disgusting thing to me.
They weren’t mentioned in the article, but i recently saw them at the grocery store and when I think of gross food, these are top of mind.
