You would probably enjoy War of the Worlds. If you’ve seen this film you undoubtedly remember the scene where the alien tripods first emerge from under the ground…. It’s preceeded by crazy lighting strikes (26 of them hitting the same spot) coming from a spinning vortex in the sky. Let me ask you this: if there was a burning hole in the ground, and you felt movement under that hole, and suddenly there was something impossibly large, metallic and scary emerging from it, would you stick around and see what it was, or would you run away screaming? According to Spielberg, most people would stick around.
