Backyard camping

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Easy ways to make kids happy|Photography

First, mummy set aside her fear of her eyebrows getting singed and we roasted these:

Weenie roast

… which was the main part of our:

Dinner

… and then we roasted these:

Marshmallows

(someone ate quite a few)

The aftershot

… and then we settled in:

Poetry in the tent

… and then daddy got out the telescope and we looked at Jupiter and four of its moons, although a raccoon who was poking his head out the sewer proved to be slightly more interesting. (No pictures of that, sorry.)

… and then I used the flashlight to tell a story of Fred the Firefly, and how he learned to fly…

… and then we all went to bed, to a chorus of crickets, the odd goose, and the wind rustling through the branches.

(School starts tomorrow, eek!)
