Good Eats Friday!

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Recipes and Food

Weekends are when many of us recharge our batteries and grocery shop. So for the next while there’s going to be a recipe-related post here at the Fishbowl. Every Friday I’ll be posting a couple great recipe ideas from fellow foodie peeps that have made it to my “must try” list.

First, check out this Pub-Style Chicken Curry recipe. I think it’s kind of perfect given the weather we’ve been having here in Ottawa, don’t you? It looks very easy, and GASP, my kids might actually eat it!

CUE THE CRAVINGS:

Doesnt that look amazing?

Oy. Doesn't that look amazing?

I’m also admiring these fantastic-looking vegan-gluten free granola bars. They are chock full of healthy ingredients, I bet they are miles better than store bought.

Who knew healthy could look this delicious?

There you go! Two great recipes to add to your repertoire! If you try either of these I’d love to hear how they turned out.

Happy Friday my fishies!

That curry does look yummy. I finally made your black bean soup. Or rather I used your recipe and improvised.

Black beans
Red beans (kidney)
Corn
Salsa
Tomato juice
water to thin it out

Purée with hand blender. Heat and serve with a bit shaved sharp cheddar and minced cilantro. Or serve on a bed of rice with same toppings.

Soooo good.
