A glimpse of those horrible gawky years

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Misc. life

* Edited to add: YOU’RE RIGHT. The task at hand is terribly unfair for those who don’t know what I look like to begin with, and gives an advantage who know me in real life. Need help? Well, I scanned another photo that that might give you a clue.

OH, and before I forget, this was my husband Mark as a teenager some time in the seventies. Talk about sullen and geeky! He asked me to write that what you’re seeing is his winter coat of hair. His summer coat was short and blonde :)

Several bloggers, like Ellen, have posted weird teen photos of themselves. I’ve seen some other good ones, and I am quite enjoying this particular meme. So I dug around a bit but couldn’t find the one I was thinking of (picture me in a pink striped button down shirt, red suspenders and braces). And then I wondered if I should be revealing this phase of my life to the Internet. So this will have to do.

Who out there can pick me out of this page scanned from my 1988-89 yearbook? Once ya’ll figure it out I will tell you the story. :)

p.s. Mark and MOM, you are not allowed to give it away!

pps. It is not the girl upon whose forehead is scribbled “nice hair”
