Tomatoes are so summer

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Oh! Things!|Recipes and Food

I’d like to grow more veggies in our backyard, but we don’t have enough sun back there to support very many different plants. We do, however, have room for a few pots of herbs and some tomatoes. I bought four different varieties and this one is my favourite:

These tomatoes are growing in our garden right now

It’s called a yellow pear tomato, and the fruit is small, about the size of cherry tomatoes. The smell is heavenly, but I suppose the same can be said about all tomato plants.

Isn’t it wonderful to have edible things growing in your own yard? It’s a real gift – albeit given in return for a lot of care and watering-  but still, it’s a gift which ought to be cherished, with every bite.
