It was a dark and strormy day…
Hi! It’s me, Marla guest posting again. Josephine and I are at Winkel, and nobody is coming in because it is raining, and one of our usual pastimes, which is sitting on the stoop and watching the world go by, would be no fun, because it is pouring – so nobody is going out either.
While there are a few hundred things to dust, and although there are lots of things to read and a bazillion other things we could do, I have an idea.

I’m going to make my first Artist Trading Card. And maybe my second and third. Andrea’s posts about this got me interested in them, but I haven’t yet attempted one. I’ve been waiting for just the right time, and today just might be the right time.
BUT, I want others to make some too, and I want to swap them. But since I’m only dipping my toe in the water here, I’m just asking for the puddle of readers here to join in, rather than my jumping into the deep sea of those who do this more often. Whether you’ve made one before or not, please think about joining in.
I’m going to make mine using only some background material I brought from home, and the embellishment will be things I’ve found around the store today. I don’t know how much time I’ll have, and I have a few things I think I’ll use and have a few influences I’d like to incorporate. The completed project will be posted later tonight. Or, um, tomorrow maybe since I have a toddler, you know.
So here:
WHO: Anyone who wants to. Let me know in the comments, and I’ll be the clearing house.
WHAT: Make an ATC using only found objects (things you have around already) – the theme is um…Miss Fish inspired me to make something with found objects. Size: 2.5″x3.5″, or 64x89mm
WHEN: Within the next 24 hours, and mailed by the end of next week (since mailing things takes me forever to get around to).
WHERE: I’ll provide the address tomorrow when I post about what I made today.
HOW: Anything goes, just stick to the usual size. Andrea posted excellent links here in the post that initially piqued my curiosity.
WHY: Because it’s doable, and Andrea inspires me with her craftiness, because before I “met” her, I thought I was crafty. But Andrea? Whoa! Crafty Mc Craftypants.
MAYBE – Would it be cool to make them as gifts for Miss Fish? Or do they have to be traded?
