I’ve got a new friend in the pantry

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Easy ways to make kids happy|Recipes and Food

You will not believe what my kids like to eat. They begged me to include some in their lunches yesterday. And when I forgot, they complained. Tonight, they had some for dessert.

You won’t believe it. Really, you won’t. Are you ready?

yummy

You think I’m crazy. But it’s true! I discovered it by accident and both Emma and Sarah love.this.cereal, although they’ve only eaten it dry so far. Heck, I love it too. I had a bowl of it as an afternoon snack. And will probably eat more tomorrow.

Yay! A house full of happy colons.

Love your blog! You make me miss the old stoppin’ ground each time you mention things like the Parkdale Market, Ottawa Bagel Shop, and *angels singing* THE WORKS. (we are back visiting next weekend and am dragging the family there for lunch, not that they are complaing)

I felt the same way you did a few weeks ago when I tried a recipe for dinner that I was sure everyone was going to hate but me. Pasta with a tomato sauce made with onion, garlic, shredded carrots, thyme and lentils. Everyone looooved it and I have made it agin every week since. My son even asks me to make extra noodles so he can take it in his lunch. We’ve got happy colons here too!

Aw. Thanks Jenn.

Lentils in spaghetti sauce? That’s quite the discovery you made. Would you consider sharing? Inquiring minds want to know!

I love our regular cereals like this but with strawberries it must be awesome. My two year old loves cereals like this.

Oh I love this cereal! They taste like Mini-Wheats which I also love and so do the kids. In fact, cereal, in general, is big here.
