Egads people

Posted by andrea in: Misc. life

It’s Monday, and I’m sitting here in my pyjamas and an empty mug beside me and I’m feeling So.Totally.Unmotivated. it’s not even funny. The sense of burnout is palpable.

Part of my zombiness, I’m sure, stems from the fact that I was up late baking and frosting cupcakes for Emma’s class. And now I feel sucked dry.

It’s the Monday before Christmas for chrissake! There are still mucho things that need to be done! I just can’t find the strength at the moment. Perhaps I just need to toss out part of my todo list. That being said:

– I don’t think I’ll decorate the mantel this year. Or the front steps. I’m finished with decorating.
– Forget about the cookies – my waistline doesn’t need them anyway. I think I’ll just pick one treat and make it.
– What else can I scratch off?

As for today: swimming lessons, another trip to the post office, dental appointment(s) and the first of several Christmas concerts.

*sigh*
