a child’s artistic interpretation of our upcoming holiday

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Easy ways to make kids happy|File under crafty

We’re going on holiday. It’s not for awhile yet, but the girls can’t wait. It has surfaced in Sarah’s artwork recently. I’m not surprised. They have been talking about it non-stop.

The tree on the left, that’s a grapefruit tree. The tree on the right, that’s an orange tree. That’s Sarah in the middle picking an orange.

On the far right is our holiday house. Beside it is a ferris wheel. “I drew it really small because it’s far away,” explained Sarah.

Anyone care to guess our destination?

If you guessed Disney World, you’re right!

You’re running away and joining the circus, because they usually winter in Florida?

I’m going with Disney too. Florida?

We went in 2005. Had a BLAST. We rented a house in Orlando a few exits from the park. Really awesome.
