pretend you own a golf course

Kids are funny.
If a parent ever suggested that their kids set up a pretend golf course they’d scoff at the suggestion.
But give them some colourful paper, a couple of putters, some golf balls (and free run of the basement) they might come up with the idea all by themselves.
Our basement mini-golf had four or five putting obstacles on one side and a “clubhouse” on the other … in which I paid 25 cents for a cup of imaginary coffee. They’ve played the “E & S Restaurant” game with us so often that they’ve actually made $14.00 dollars off the grown-ups. :)
