An unexpected turn on the career track

Posted by andrea in: Misc. life

Those of you who know me, know how much I love photography. It hasn’t always been this way. I have always liked taking pictures. I was the kid who brought her Kodak Disk camera with her to summer camp. I was the university student who brought her camera to parties. I was the one who decided to take a photo of every individual in our graduating class and produce a yearbook (no, it didn’t actually happen.) I was the one who was taking photos of a pineapple in the snow this morning. (Don’t ask.)

The camera is a digital one now. If our house was on fire, the camera is one of few things that I’d risk smoke inhalation and multi-degree burns to save. (Although the children, my art card collection and my CPU would come first of course.)

Tomorrow morning I have an interview with a local newspaper about some possible photography work. I am so excited I feel like I’m splitting at the seams.

I ask you, I beg you Internet world, to send me good vibes at exactly 11:00 am EST … at which point I’ll be doing my best not to spill my latte on myself, or come off sounding like a big dork. :) :)

I’ll update again tomorrow and let you know how it went. Wish me luck!
