Back away if you don’t want to hear more about lip gloss

Posted by andrea in: Oh! Things!

Dear Melissa, kind donor of new lip gloss product –

You gave me this awesome lip gloss. It is the most unique and weird thing I have ever seen and I am finding it most enjoyable.

The hand-sized, dress-shaped container flips open, revealing small compartments of lip gloss on the inner sides of both lids and also on both sides of the inner piece – which is shaped like a woman’s body. Who would have ever invented such a complicated way of presenting something so simple? As you pointed out, it is a little strange to be taking lip gloss from her, um, bosums, but that’s ok. We’re all friends here.

Anyway, it is most intriguing. Emma and Sarah are especially thrilled when I let them sample whatever colour they want. You know how they feel about glitter. And no, they don’t get that from their father.

The unfortunate part of this story is that the container is too large for the meagre space that I’ve alloted for lip gloss(es) in my already overstuffed purse. The dress-shaped gloss sits on an open shelf in the downstairs bathroom, and is free to be used by any member of the household when they are in need of a glittering. Which happens rather frequently now that I work from home. :)

Thank you again for the thoughtful gift,

andrea
